Chatbase

For week 5, I created a chatbot using Chatbase to enhance our company's website by providing instant, AI-driven responses to visitor inquiries. As a market research company specializing in qualitative and quantitative data, we see AI as a valuable tool, particularly given ChatGPT’s proven effectiveness in analyzing sentiment from open-ended survey responses.

Looking ahead to 2025, our company is focused on rebranding and elevating our research capabilities. I believe this starts with the website’s landing page—where first impressions are formed. To enhance user engagement, we explored Chatbase’s ability to develop a custom chatbot tailored to potential clients' needs.

Using our existing website, I uploaded multiple page URLs to Chatbase, allowing it to extract relevant content. Once the data was compiled, I tested the chatbot’s responses to ensure accuracy. One standout feature of Chatbase is its confidence score, which visually indicates how well the response aligns with the query. A green or red rating, along with a percentage score, helps identify areas for refinement, and I could manually adjust responses as needed.

I introduced this initiative to our senior leadership team, and while it hasn’t been rolled out yet, the concept generated significant interest across the company due to its potential usefulness. The next steps going forward, besides chatbots, are to implement automation tools that make our jobs easier as market researchers so we can spend more time on other areas of projects.
