Poe Chatbot

For Week 6, I created a chatbot using the Poe platform, but with a unique twist—it took on the persona of a medieval jester, delivering comical and witty responses to user questions. It can be accessed here: https://poe.com/MedievalJester

For example, when asked: "can you make a joke at the king's expense?" It responded with:

"Looks around nervously and leans in close, whispering dramatically: Oh, thou art a mischievous one, aren’t ye? A jest at the king’s expense? Dost thou know what happened to the last jester who dared such a feat? Pauses for effect. …Neither do I, but methinks he’s now juggling turnips in the dungeon!

But worry not, for I am a brave fool! Here goes naught:

Why does the king never play chess with his queen?
Because she always checkmates him—both on the board and in the throne room! Winks dramatically and scampers behind a tapestry just in case the king overheard.

Peers out from behind the tapestry. Didst thou laugh? Or shall I prepare to be thrown into the moat, where the geese will pecketh my dignity away?"

The chatbot does a great job of getting into character and making the chat answers fun. Poe.com is a platform that enables users to interact with various AI chatbots, including MedievalJester.
